The whisky from Royal Lochnagar was allegedly a favourite of Her Majesty Queen Victoria and there can be no doubt that this single cask bottling from this understated distillery in the Eastern Highlands would have found favour.

Pale, light and sparkling it is delicate yet warming on the palate followed by a sprightly, cheeky character with intense new season stewed apples oozing through. Finishing with a mouth watering balst of aniseed. It demands another sip.

All in all a wonderful anytime dram
