There is always something slightly surreal about a deeply purple coloured sparkling red, they gush fruit, they froth in a slightly uncouth way and they explode in the mouth but boy are they fun. This has buckets of liquorice combined with ripe red fruits and just a touch of tannin to give it a more serious edge. It will work well with anything grilled or blackened. Oh and unlike many of the sparkling reds available it is not overly sweet.
