This is one of my wines of the moment because it is so suited to winter drinking. Perfect for enjoying in front of a roaring log fire, deep purple in colour, satisfyingly high in alcohol it really delivers for the money. Perfectly enjoyable on its own but add some mature cheddar or a steaming dish of good old fashioned stew and enjoy.

It is no wonder that the International Wine Challenge has awarded it a gold medal what is surprising is its price just £6.99!
