Howden Show Food & Drink Festival

It’s our second food and drink festival and we couldn’t be more excited. Some of last year’s popular exhibitors are coming back, such as Anna’s Happy Trotters, Pipers Crisps and the Courtyard Cafe Goole. But we have added some great new producers such as the Really Indian Company who will show their fresh curry sauces and even demonstrate some superb dishes you can cook with them in the Local Food Networks mobile kitchen, which makes a welcome return, thanks to kind sponsorship by Nick & Joy Laister of NKL Automotives.

A last minute entry but most welcome is the Staal Smokehouse with their wonderful range of smoked meats and fish. Wolds Cottage Kitchen and Ramans Kitchen will present some very tasty preserves. Flourish and Prosper will of course be there with some delicious new olives and our new sour dough breads from a local artisan baker.

Drink will be provided by Simply Sencillo Cider from Somerset, Antipodean Sommeliers with their top quality boutique New Zealand Wines, Great Newsome Brewery with some refreshing local beer and Sloe Motion who will be launching a new summer cup.

No show would be complete without chocolate and Amelia is bringing her range of chocolates hand made with love all the way from Scarborough. Then there are salad dressings from Yorkshire Rape Seed Oil and Wormsley Herb Vinegars and finally Lucie Pritchard of the Supper Club will be bringing some of her ready meals.

No wonder we are excited! See you there and remember if you buy your tickets in advance you save money.
